Lt. Messina,
Sir, I would just like to say thank you for your years of dedicated service and sacrifice-first for our Country when you served in the USAAF during WW II and secondly for the citizens of Watertown when you served with the WFD. And to your family and loved ones, I wish to extend my deepest sympathy.

John and Carolyn Messina had a wonderful family. Their son John and I went to school at Marshall Spring and West Jr. High. I remember how devoted they were to their boys and their school activities.
My sympathy to all the family.
