Warren Gibson Obituary

GIBSON, Warren F. 73, of Shrewsbury, formerly of Milton, MA, passed away Sunday, December 7th 2008 in the University of Massachusetts Hospital, surrounded by family, after being stricken ill on Thursday at home. Warren's wife of 41 years M. Patricia (McWhirter) Gibson passed away March 18th. Warren is survived by his two devoted children, Kathryn Gibson-Torres and her husband Luis of Shrewsbury, Paul A. Gibson and his wife Lisa of North Dartmouth; five cherished grandchildren, two brothers, a sister, nieces and nephews. He graduated from Williams College School of Banking. Warren and Patricia lived and raised their family in Milton, MA most of their life before moving to Shrewsbury seven years ago. Warren worked in the banking industry all his life. He was a banker and mortgage broker for several banking firms in Maine and Massachusetts before retiring from Boston 5 Cent Savings Bank. The funeral will be held Friday, Dec. 12 from the Mercadante Funeral Home, & Chapel, 370 Plantation St. WORCESTER, with a Mass at 11 a.m. in St. Mary of the Hills Church, 630 Cross St. Boylston. Friends & relatives are invited to visit with the family Thursday, December 11th from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Assoc, Speen St. Framingham, MA 01701.
