Gabriel Spanley Obituary

SPANLEY, Gabriel Of Kingston died on December 9, 2008. Beloved husband of the late Helen (Rydwanski) Spanley. Devoted father of Sandra A. Kehoe and her husband Daniel. Loving grandfather of Brian Kehoe of Kingston, Paul Kehoe of Brewster, Scott Kehoe and his wife Alicyn of Kingston, and great grandfather of Andrew and Bridget Kehoe. Brother of Susan Gandolfo of Medford, and several nieces and nephews. Gabriel served for nearly a half century as the barber at Brigham and Women's Hospital. He later served with distinction as a court officer in District and Superior Courts. He enjoyed his role as a Justice of the Peace, and preformed many weddings on the South Shore in response to his listing, "A Banding of Love." Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, December 14th from 2-5:00PM at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 21620 Main St. (Rt. 106) KINGSTON. A funeral service will be held at the Funeral Home on Monday, December 15th at 11:00 AM. Burial will be at the Mayflower Cemetery in Duxbury. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Gabriel's name to the Andrew and Bridget Kehoe Education Fund, Citizen's Bank, MA-188, 160 Summer St., Kingston, MA 02364.
