Lt. Cook,
Sir, as a fellow Marine I would just like to say thank you for your years of dedicated service and sacrifice-first for our Country when you served in the USMCR and secondly for the citizens of Saugus when you served with the SPD. And to your family and loved ones, I wish to extend my deepest sympathy.

I am truly sorry to hear of Arthur's passing. I first met Arthur as a teenager when I babysat for him when he lived in Everett. He got me a job at the Hilltop and I was able to support myself from that even though I was only 18 years old. He was always wonderful to me and my sister Janet. He gave me away at my wedding as my own father had passed and I will always be grateful to him for that. He was truly a gentleman and a fine man. The world is less of a place without him. May he rest in peace with God's blessing. Please take comfort in the fact that so many loved and admired him.

Be Still

Be still like the grass on a melancholy summer day
Be still like desert shrub.

Be calm and you will hear your loved one speak, in the stillness, in the calm, their love resounds.

If you are still this promise I make, you will hear the voice of your loved one helping you along your way.

Arthur Cook.....truly a gentleman, not bad on the eyes! A wonderful friend to all Hilltop employees. I can picture him there on duty in the heyday of the restaurant. He is now in good company....Harold Vitale welcomed him with open arms and "Big Rosie" will take care of him forever....gone too soon Arthur

Roxie, Bobbi & family..
I am so sorry to hear of Arthur's passing, still can not believe it! I was just dropping a coffee off to him at his detail at the end of my street. I can not express in words how special Arthur was too me, he has been looking out for me since I was a couple months old and he rushed to pick me up during the blizzard of 78 on a snowmobile when I was choking and an ambulance could not reach me due to the storm. Since that day he never stopped looking out for me and became a special person in my life through the years, he will always have a very special place in my heart. I have many fond memories of my "favorite Lieutenant" and will miss his e-mails checking in and saying hi! I have been very fortunate to have him in my life! I hope that all of your wonderful memories comfort you in this very sad time. Arthur I know you are doing a detail in the sky now, rest peacefully and know that you have touched the lives of many in the world including mine! Roxie if there is anything that I can do for you please do not hesitate to ask. All our love and prayers to you all.

I am so sorry to learn of Arthur's passing. I first met Arthur when I worked in the laboratory at the old Saugus General Hospital. I later worked at the Melrose-Wakefield Hospital Blood Bank where he was one of my standby emergency blood donors. He always came when called and he truly saved lives (especially newborns) with his Rh negative blood donations.
My sincere sympathy to the family of this kind, gentle man so willing to assist in a crisis. Barbara Campbell-Robinson
