MARSHALL, William J., Jr. Of Cambridge, December 12, 2008, age 90. Beloved husband of the late Pearl E. (Johansen) Marshall. Devoted father of Barbara Toomey of Arlington, David Marshall of Walpole, William Marshall, III of Somerville, Carol Marshall of Medford and the late Paul Marshall. Brother of Anne Beatrice of Lexington. Also survived by 8 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. A Funeral Service will be held in the John C. Burns & Sons Funeral Home, 305 Broadway, CAMBRIDGE, Monday, Dec. 15, at 10:00 AM. Relatives and friends invited. Visiting 1 hour prior to service from 9-10 AM. Memorial contributions may be made in Williams's name to VNA Hospice Care, 100 Sylvan Rd., Woburn, MA 01801. WWII Marine Veteran, member of MBTA Inspector's Union. Mr. Marshall,
Sir, as a fellow Marine I would just like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice for our Country when you served in the USMC during WW II. It was the history and accomplishments made by you and your fellow Marines back then that all of us Marines who followed in your footsteps have always tried to live up to. And to your family and loved ones, I wish to extend my deepest sympathy.
