Mr. Swirbalus,
Sir, I would just like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice for our Country when you served in the U.S. Army during the Cold War. Millions of Americans slept safe at night because you and your fellow servicemen stood ready to defend our Country. And to your family and loved ones, I wish to extend my deepest sympathy.

He was such a great, great guy. He was like having a piece of my father here that I had lost a long time ago. I enjoyed his humor throughout the day working with him. He will be really missed by me and my family.

Maria and family,
I want to express our sadness for your loss. My friendship with Paul goes back 40 years. He and I and a few of our mutual friends used to spend some time skiing in New Hampshire. I'll always remember the weekend Paul, Paul Grigas, and I left from the Boston Harbor Yacht Club in his family's boat and headed to Provincetown for a weekend. We spotted a couple of whales about 10 miles from the tip of the Cape. Paul shut down the motor and one of the whales (about 20 feet long) came up to the side of the boat and then under it. Paul said "I think he's just curious!" I wasn't so sure, however, Paul was right!
I don't know if he ever told you that story, but, it was one of those experiences that you never forget and it would not have been possible without Paul's instict to shut down the motor and wait to see what would happen. Thank you, Paul, for that wonderful memory.
