I recently heard of Carmela's passing and was deeply saddened by the news. She was a wonderful person who touched the lives of so many people. I worked with Carmela in HR at RSA and came to know a wonderful person who cared deeply for her family and friends. Carmela prayed for my mom when she was going through breast cancer and I am forever grateful for that. She was so caring. I am so sorry for your loss.

I met Carmela while working at RSA. We did not work together often but I always enjoyed the times our paths crossed. When my brother developed colon cancer Barleta offered to pray for him. Throughout his 6 year illness she would always ask for him when we saw each other.
When I heard of Carmela's cancer she had already left RSA but I often thought about her over the years. I was so sorry to hear of her passing. It was three years today that my 46 year old brother died of cancer. I'm certain that he was among those to welcome Carmela when she arrived in heaven.
My sincerest condolences to Carmela's family and friends. She was a beautiful person.

Dear Pat,
It has been many years since the last time I saw you and Carmela. I just found out last night from my sister Emma and I was very saddened by the news. It is very painful when we lose someone we love so much. The love you and Carmela shared was rare and special. The only confort you and your family have is knowing that she is at peace with God and will never abandon you, for her spirit will always be with you. I will always remember her beautiful smile and the beautiful lady that she was. Please know that you are in my thoughts and prayers and my heart goes out to you.

Dear Pat and family,
I remember when I first came to work at 25 Mall Road and met this really nice man, the manager of the café in the building. Pat, that was you. I remember, too, when you introduced me to “your lovely Carmela” and how warmly she greeted me. From that time on, whenever I saw Carmela, she had that sweet, easy smile for me. You know that smile--the one that made you feel good and made you smile right back. And even though she was in a battle for her life, she always had time to care about someone else. If that someone else was you, you were indeed blessed.
With our deepest sympathy,
Joyce and Jane

When I think of Carmela, this memory immediately stands out: At a festival, she is dancing with her husband Pat, her eyes only on him, amidst a crowd of dancers, and her young nieces (my cousins) gazing in awe up at them.
Our deepest sympathies to all in the family.

A wife, a mother, a grandma too,
This is the legacy we have from you.
You taught us love and how to fight,
You gave us strength, you gave us might.
A stronger person would be hard to find,
And in your heart, you were always kind.
You fought for us all in one way or another,
Not just as a wife not just as a mother.
For all of us you gave your best,
Now the time has come for you to rest.
So go in peace, you've earned your sleep,
Your love in our hearts, we'll eternally keep.

Caro Zio Pasquale e Familia
Words can not express how sorry I am for your loss. Zia Carmela was the closest thing I ever had to a big sister growing up. She taught me to brush my teeth, jump rope and to sing Christmas songs. She will always have a special place in my heart. She was too young and too wonderful of a person to go through so much but she was blessed to have you all by her side and in her life. I know how much she cared for her family and know that she will be watching over all of us from a much better place. May God bless you all and give you strength and comfort during this difficult time.
Please know that you are all in our thoughts and prayers and always in our hearts. With deepest sympathy,

Pat & Family,
I have such fond memories of stopping by to chat with Carmela back in the days of SQA - she was always a pleasure to speak with and be with; one would never know of her own troubles because she was always giving to others. I hope you can find peace in the near future and continue to keep her memory alive and vibrant, just as she was.

Words cannot convey my deepest
sympathy to Pat and your family.
Carmela...how can I put into words
what I feel in my heart for such a
special lady. Her ability to communicate with people, her love of God and family radiated in her
personality. She was a true Christian person who did not talk the talk but walked the walk.
In our natural self we are grieved.
In our belief as Christians we rejoice in knowing Carmela is in the arms of our Lord.
Love and prayers,

Carmela helped to save so many of the Lords sheep and showed them who Jesus was through her love and generosity. She is with the Lord now, a reward which she believed in and was promised by her faith. We will miss her but I will celebrate her life. Her beautiful family is her legacy to the world.May the family know that there are literally thousands of people connected through Saint Basils praying for them. May we all acheive in our life time the holiness that Carmela so clearly demonstrated unselfishly on a daily basis.
