Of Needham, August 22, 2007. Beloved husband for 43 years of Sally (Gorman) Burns. Loving father of Cynthia L. Burns of Minneapolis, MN, Mary D. Ward of Quincy and Arthur V. Burns III of Arlington. Brother of Elizabeth Holmes of Noank, CT and Mary Lou Frates of Barrington, RI. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Funeral from the Eaton Funeral Home, 1351 Highland Ave, NEEDHAM on Monday, August 27 at 9:00 AM, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Joseph Church at 10:00 AM. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting on Sunday 2-5 PM. Interment St. Joseph Cemetery, West Roxbury. Late graduate of St. Sebastian's Country Day School and Boston College. Retired Purchasing Agent for Beth Israel Hospital after 35 years of service. Life member of the Boston Sparks Assoc. and member of Citywide. Model railroad enthusiast and gifted Jazz drummer.
