James Farrell Obituary

Of Westwood and Marshfield, formerly of Roslindale, Retired Westwood Police Officer, died August 24th. Beloved husband of Helen T. (Mullen) Farrell. Loving father of James M. Farrell Jr. and his wife Cynthia of NH, Maureen K. McAffrey of TX and Timothy P. Farrell of Westwood. Devoted grandfather of John and Patrick Farrell and Erin and Cali McAffrey. Brother of Peg Fitzgerald of Hyde Park and the late Edward J. Farrell. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to attend Visiting Hours in the Holden, Dunn and Lawler Funeral Home, 55 High Rock St. (off Route 109) WESTWOOD on Tuesday August 28th from 4-8pm. Funeral from the Funeral Home on Wednesday morning August 29th at 10am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Margaret Mary's Church at 11am. Interment at New Westwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Jim's name to the American Lung Association, 25 Spring St., Walpole, MA 02081. Jim was past commander of both the Westwood VFW and the Westwood American Legion Post #320 and he was a U.S. Army Veteran and U.S. Navy Veteran of WWII. Holden-Dunn-Lawler (781) 326-0074

..I don't know if you remember me or not but Jim, Phil O'Hanian and I
owned the Roslindale Lunch....Helen you worked as a waitress there...Jim was a wonderful person..I was shocked to hear of his passing..I offer my sincerest sympathy.
