Mary McShane Obituary

96 of Wakefield Aug. 25. Daughter of the late Hugh and Catherine (Connolly) McShane. Sister of Helen P. of Melrose, John J. of Bourne and the late Daniel, James, Hugh and Alice McShane and Catherine Rufo and Elizabeth Gorman. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Mary was a U.S. Army veteran serving as a 1st LT. in the Army Nurse Corps in the European Theater during W.W. II. Upon returning, she worked as a nurse for over 30 years for the U.S Postal Service in the South Station Annex in Boston. She was a member of the American Legion Post 63, Wakefield and a member of St. Joseph's Parish in Wakefield. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Joseph Church, 173 Albion St., Wakefield on Wednesday at 11:30 AM. Relatives and friends may call at the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Weds. morning, prior to the funeral from 9 to 11 AM. Interment, Forest Glade Cemetery, Wakefield.
