Claire Shepardson Obituary

Died August 24, 2007 in Nashua, NH, 55, resident of Nashua, NH. Born in Chelsea, MA, a daughter of Marie Zoe (Forbes) MacDonald of Amherst, NH and the late Arthur H. MacDonald. Claire also lived in Hudson and Nashua, NH. Throughout her struggle with muscular dystrophy, she was an inspiration to those who knew her, and will be remembered for her positive attitude, fantastic sense of humor and heart warming laugh. She was the loving mother of David J. Shepardson. She is survived by her son, David and his wife, Cheryl and her granddaughter, Abigail, all of Derry, NH; loving sister of Stephen & Linda MacDonald of Worcester, VT, Paul & Judi MacDonald of Merrimack, NH, Ross MacDonald of Merrimack, NH, Jane & Mark Pidhorodecky of Lawrenceville, GA, Lois & Steve Johnson of Amherst, NH, Chris & Dan Silva of Roswell, GA, Zoe & Jim Doane and Marie Wells, all of Milford, NH. Also survived by several aunts, uncles, cousins; many nieces and nephews. Visiting hours are Monday, August 27th from 5-8 pm in the Smith & Heald Funeral Home, 63 Elm Street, Milford, NH. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11:00 am in the Milford United Methodist Church, 327 North River Road, Milford, NH. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Milford, at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Muscular Dystrophy Association, 360 Route 101, Unit #5, Bedford, NH 03110. Smith & Heald Funeral Home, MILFORD, is in charge of arrangements.

Claire was an extremely kind person, and a woman of great strength. I am quite saddened to hear of her passing. Though I knew her only a short time, her memory is still fresh in my mind. My deepest sympathies to her entire family.
