Wow! It warms my heart to read all of these entries. I miss David more each day. David was a constant presence in my life. He called me every morning at 7:00am.{ Of course he had been awake for hours by this point and figured we should all be bright eyed and bushy tailed. } Then again, on his way home from work at 7:00 pm , he would call again. Always to just say hello, check in, ask about Nick, Julia and Elena. Wanted to know if anyone did or said anything funny. He was so sweet! Always there whenever anyone needed him. David loved being needed.I never had to say much to David for him to understand, he had a way of understanding just what you wanted to say or do. All you had to do is ask, and he was there. I miss him terribly, you never "get over" someone you love more than life. You just learn , life goes on, and to keep them even closer in your heart and mind. Thank you to everyone for your stories and your love. It was so sweet to read them all on this October evening as I sat here missing my brother and just decided to google his name. Love you David. There will never be anyone like you. We were all blessed to have you in our lives. You live on in our hearts and minds and your two beautiful , vivacious and very funny girls

Dear Susan & girls,
Your husband and father was a great man and always an entertaining guy. I know he will be sorely missed by each of you, and all of us at Pilot. I'm sure there won't be a day that goes by without many of us thinking of Dave and his "humor". May God Bless you all. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

To Dave's Girls,
I am truely sorry for yor loss. Dave loved you guys so much.
Over the years Dave & I worked & played together, he spoke of you all very often.
He'd always keep me updated on Sam & Sarah's antics as they were growing up.
Sue, I'm sure that my name was mentioned around your house(hopefully not always in a bad way)often enough when Dave & I were out till all hours.
I never did get Dave to The Harley Rendezvous, I'll always feel bad about that, I know he'd really have enjoyed it.
Dave was a great friend & a good man. I could always count on him & I believe he felt the same way. I will miss him dearly.
My thoughts & prayers are with you all.
Take care, Tom

Pam and Sue,

I really have a special place in my heart for Dave. We had many meaningful conversasions, Dave was like his mom with all their good advice. When I lived in Colorado (tough days) Dave was the first hometown face to be at my doorstep. For that I was always greatful, homesickness is so difficult. I truly feel your loss.

Lots of Love, Alice Bottary

I consider myself extremely blessed to have known Dave. He was such a strong, yet gentle and kind person. He was the glue that kept us together at Pilot. He had an incredible sense of humor and he would always take the time to listen. He was my "go to person" whenever I needed answers or guidance.

Many years ago, Dave fell in love with Susan, and that was that. A couple of months ago, he told me in an email that Susan was holding him together completely, and he said he was so grateful for that. Susan, you have always been his perfect partner, and I think he fell in love with you the first time he saw you. He lived his life in love with you, and he knew he was a truly fortunate man. Please accept my most heartfelt sympathy for this sudden tragic loss for you, for his beloved girls, and the entire Ford, Curran and McDonough Families
