Dear Buddy, Kathy and family, I just wanted to say how sorry I was to read of Mr. Picardi’s passing. He and Mrs. Picardi were great next-door neighbors when we lived in Quincy. He was always so sweet to us and would gently tease us by calling us by the wrong name when we were younger. He had the dearest smile and a twinkle in his eye when he got a kick out of the four of us tooling around our backyard.
After the blizzard of ’78, we were all out there shoveling each other out. When we finally got it all done, I remember Mr. Picardi giving my father a twenty-dollar bill to divide amongst all of us. You’d have thought that he gave my father one million dollars the way the four of us jumped up and down around the now clean driveways and towering mounds of snow. Mr. Picardi was always a kind and giving man to our family. Although it’s been many years since we moved out of Quincy, (1986) we always remembered the good times we had with our wonderful neighbors Mr. and Mrs. Picardi. They both will be in my thoughts and prayers. God bless.
Love,
Celeste Buckley-Hamm

Mr. Picardi,
Sir, I didn't know you, but I would just like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice for our Country when you served in the U.S. Army during WW II and for being a member of the Greatest Generation. And to your family and loved ones, I wish to extend my deepest sympathy.
