Of Needham on Sept 21, 2007. Beloved husband of the late Eleanor V. (Hasenfus) Anthonsen. Loving father of Barbara Anthonsen-Cowen and her husband Lance of Needham, Susan Dukeman and her husband Bill of Milford and Margaret Hogan and her husband Bobby of Watertown. Grandfather of Michele, Will and Shannon and great grandfather of Peter. Brother of Charlotte Anne Wight of Bellingham. A funeral service will be held on Tues., Sept 25 at 10 AM in the Eaton Funeral Home, 1351 Highland Ave, NEEDHAM. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Visiting hours Mon 4-8 PM. Interment with Military Honors at St. Mary's Cemetery Needham. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimers Assoc. 36 Cameron Ave., Cambridge, MA 02140. Late WW II U.S. Army S/Sgt. Sir, I didn't know you, but I would just like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice for our Country when you served in the U.S. Army during WW II and for being a member of the Greatest Generation.

Eddie and I were like brothers who worked and played together and our fathers, "Andy and Scotty" were friends before us. My heartfelt condolences to the family. Regretfully Age and distance prevents me from attending his funeral but his memory will be always present.
