Age 89, of Quincy, formerly of Dorchester, Sept. 23, 2007. Beloved husband of the late Alice M. (Donoghue) Symes. Loving father of Lorraine M. Kippenberger and her late husband John F. Kippenberger III of Medfield, Robert G. Symes, Retired Capt. Weymouth P.D. and his wife Mary M. Symes of Plymouth. Devoted grandfather of 8 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
