Renata and I had many deeply felt conversations about how much we cared for our husbands and how RIGHT it was to get married in our later years. We felt an uncommon bond that reached beyond words.

To Renata, my colleague, mentor and friend. We shared so much laugher together, a few tears, a passion for animals (especially dogs), books, cooking, music, and so much more. I have been so fortunate to have known you for your staunch advocacy, compassion, class, and incredible style. You have made this world a better place and enriched the lives of the people you touched. Although you will always live in my heart I will miss you deeply.

Dear Renata, a woman of beauty in spirit, soul, and body. Renata sang with us in the Mystic Chorale lending her voice in harmony to the many messages of love, unity, and peace performed by the Chorale. Renata was a friend, and I will miss her.Her home in MA reflected the beauty of her soul - as did her cooking!

Dear Renata, friend, co-worker, advocate, an exceptional CARF surveyor, a woman for every season, she will be missed by everyone who knew this remarkable person. I have known her for over 30 years and I was lifted up by each encounter and interaction. Renata cared deeply for those we serve. As a Massachusetts Rehabilitation Counselor, who worked with Renata for several years, I was always impressed with her ability to provide our clients with top quality services in her career oriented programs.
Renata served as the utmost inspiration and highest role model to which we should all aspire to as human beings. She handled even the most difficult situations with dignity and compassion, always with respect to the individuals involved. Although her passing was indeed untimely, her unique gifts will allow Renata's spirit to remain alive in us all.

Renata had a way of making everyone around her better...I am...we are (Riverside Career Services) a better program because of her.....she had a vision...she made it happen.....

Renata will be sadly missed. I conducted CARF surveys with her on many occasions and always impressed how much she cared for the population served. When Renata finished an exit conference, everyone would be in tears from the passion she conveyed. She loved her family dearly and they were always in her mind. You could see the joy in her eyes when she spoke of her family. My heart and condolences are with the family during this time of breavement.

I am so sorry to hear of your(our) loss. Renata was an incredible person whose solid belief in recovery was an inspiration to us all. She was my mentor on my very first CARF survey in January 1989; what a wonderful lady from which to learn. I will miss her constant enthusiasm and that wonderful smile.

Renata and I have been Carf surveyors about the same length of time. We surveyed together many times. Her professionalism and sensitivity to people with disabilities made her a unique, caring human being. The world needs a few more people like Renata.

It is with great sadness that I read of Renata's passing. She was always a beam of light, a gorgeous smile, and a woman of grace who always had lovely words to share. I recall once walking through an airport and suddenly hearing someone shout my name. It was Renata and we warmly embraced. I will never forget her. When she did our first carf survey exit report (1990) she brought many in the audience to tears with her heart felt compliment of our programs. What joy she brought to the world.

Renata was the most enthusiastic, positive, energetic and loving person. She was an example of what we all hope for in the rehabilitation world. For many years she served with us on the Friends Voices for Rehabilitation and Recovery planning group. We will be having a ceremony at the State House in Boston in November at which she will be honored for her work.

Renata was a shining spirit. Her infectious laugh and smile was contagious and even when we both parted from Riverside I thought of her fondly and so respected the work she did on behalf of individuals with mental illness.

Renata had the ability to make me feel whole even when I was a little broken. She was kind, compassionate, creative, and so very beautiful.
No one had ever called me sweetie before I met Renata and she made me feel loved.
Renata brought me some shells one time after she visited her special island and they help me to remember her spirit and love of nature, animals and the sea.
I will miss and love her always.
