Audrey Sogard Obituary

83, of Foxboro, Thursday, September 27, 2007, in Metrowest Hospital, Natick. Wife of the late, Lawrence E. Sogard; sister of Mary A. Stapleton; step mother to, Janet Kasowan, Linda Sogard, John and Michael Sogard; eleven step grandchildren. Audrey had worked as a bookkeeper for Stone & Webster for many years, before she retired. As the commander's wife, she was very active in the Foxboro V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary. The funeral for Audrey will be held Monday, October 1, from MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation Street, Worcester, with a Mass at 9:30 a.m. in Saint Anne's Church, 120 Boston Turnpike (Route 9), Shrewsbury. Interment will follow in the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne. Calling hours will be held Sunday, September 30, from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. in the funeral home. Donations may be made to Susan G. Komen for the Cure, 5005 LBJ Fwy., Ste. 250, Dallas, TX 75244.

Audrey, I learned of your passing today when the Christmas Card I sent you was returned. I am sorry I could not attend your Funeral. I think fondly of the laughs we had together at North Shore Dental in Lynn. You and your family will remain in my prayers and memory forever. Love, John Sabina
