Carolyn Jones Obituary

Of Jamaica Plain, Sept. 28, 2007. Daughter of George Jones and the late Thelma Jones of Hull and formerly West Roxbury, passed away at home, after a long battle with breast cancer. Loving wife of Gregory and mother to Christopher and Bradley. Carolyn was a flight attendant for over 20 years with American Airlines flying both internationally and transcontinental. Born in Boston and raised in West Roxbury she was a graduate of UMass Amherst with a degree in fashion merchandising. Always an active participant and volunteer in her son's lives and schools, and an inspiration to her family, friends and all who knew her. Her wonderful smile and a loving personality will be remembered forever. During her life Carolyn enjoyed many travels and has called home to NYC, Dallas, Morocco, and Aspen. She enjoyed skiing, hiking, sailing, swimming, arts and crafts and being with her family. In addition to many friends and co-workers she leaves her brothers Donald and wife Sherri from Seattle, Richard and wife Sandy from Sacramento, her cousins Barbara Alexander and husband Gene from Bridgewater, Robert Hoinghaus and wife Sunny from Colorado, Mother-in-law Jean B. Jones from Sterling. Brothers-in-law Charlie and David, sisters-in-law Joanne, Janice and Bonnie, nephew Adam, and nieces Adrianne, Kimberly, Christine, Audrey and Lizzie. Relatives and friends invited to The William J. Gormley Funeral Home, 2055 Centre Street, WEST ROXBURY on Thursday, Oct. 4, from 4-8pm. Burial is private. My heart goes out to you. I had the pleasure of flying with Carolyn. We shared many laughs and many stories of our boys. I can only pray for you and all of our loss of such a vibrant beautiful person.
