To the family of Eddie Tighe, I am just now reading of your dad's passing. I knew Eddie for years as Dan Sweeney's partner, I still remember him carrying my then 7 year old daughter down 3-flights of stairs when she had a bad asthma attack to take us to the hospital. He was always the gentleman and I loved hearing his stories. I wanted to express my condolences.

Mr. Tighe,
Sir, I didn't know you, but I would just like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice for our Country when you served in the U.S. Army during WW II and for being a member of the Greatest Generation. And to your family and loved ones, I wish to extend my deepest sympathy.

To the family of Eddie Tighe: My deepest sympathy for your loss. He certainly was a character who was respected and admired not only as a police officer but later when he worked at the Wonderland Dogtrack. We will miss his candor, humor and many stories about his careers as a police officer and bus driver.
Sincerely,
Captain Bill Gannon
