Holocaust Survivor, age 80, of Brookline, on Saturday, September 29, 2007. Beloved wife of the late Paul Burlin. Devoted mother of Annette Burlin Epstein & her husband Marc of Sherborn and Jacqueline Burlin of Brookline. Loving grandmother of Avidan, Kerren, Daniel and Paul. Sister of Riva Gluz of Montreal. Services at the Levine Chapels, 470 Harvard Street, BROOKLINE, on Tuesday, October 2 at ll:00 AM. Interment at Lindwood Memorial Park, North Street, Randolph. Shiva will be observed Tuesday following the interment through Wednesday afternoon and continuing Thursday 2:00-8:00 PM and Friday 12:00-6:00 PM, at her late residence. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Congregation Kehillath Israel, 384 Harvard Street, Brookline, MA 02446 or to Gateways (enabling Jewish education for children with special needs), 90 Oak Street, P.O. Box 97, Newton, MA 02464. Levine Chapels, Brookline (617) 277-8300

All my condolences to Annette and Jackie... such a horrible loss. Betty had so many amazing stories to tell, was so full of life and was so much fun. I can't make the funeral tomorrow because I am actually on tour now with my band, but one of the songs we play (that is on our album which is released worldwide) was inspired by Betty's stories of the Holocaust. She will live on through my song at the very least. She was so inspiring to me and all of my family will remember how great she was.. I know I will..
