Michael J. Ponzo

Of Boston's North End on September 29, 2007. Beloved son of the late Anthony and Nellie (Corrao) Ponzo; loving husband of the late Patricia Ann "Sinon" Ponzo; loving father of Enrico Ponzo and Alexandria Divadkar and her husband Milind of Swampscott; beloved Papa of Nicolas and his mother Annette; Amil, Amisha, Amshula; loving brother of Anthony of Carney's Point, NJ; Joseph of North Reading, MA, and late brother, Francis; he was also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Mr. Ponzo was a supervisor with the U.S. Postal Services North End branch, and several other Boston locations, retiring in 1997 after 30 years of service; in addition, he was Manager of Dom's Restaurant in the North End from 1970-1995. A Mass. of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, October 6, at 10:00 AM in Sacred Heart Church, 12 North Square, North End. Visiting hours will be Thursday, October 4th and Friday October 5th, from 4-8pm at the Boston Harborside Funeral Home, JS Waterman & Sons-Waring-Langone, 580 Commercial Street, Boston. Friends and family kindly invited to gather at the funeral home on Saturday 9 AM to follow in procession to the church. Interment will follow the Mass in St. Michaels Cemetery, Boston.
