Arthur Slafsky Obituary

Exeter NH, 1906-2007, died Sept. 29, 2007 in Dover, NH. He was born in Boston, and lived his early life in Somerville MA. He was most recently of Exeter, NH and formerly of Bradenton, FL, and Sharon, MA. Mr. Slafsky was class of 1928, Harvard University. He was associated with Filenes and CWT Department Stores. He was Life member of Temple Israel of Sharon, MA. Mr. Slafsky was predeceased by his wife of 75 years, Beatrice Goodman Slafsky; two grand daughters, Roberta (DeeDee Segel) Ohlemacher and Sonja Lee Schlafman. He is survived by 3 children, Jerrold and his wife, Barbara (Arons) Slafsky of Grantham, NH; Anne Segel Armand and her husband Marshall Armand of Exeter, NH; and Ellen Tolliver Austin and her husband Dr. Harvey Austin of Berlin, MD. He leaves 6 grandchildren, Marc Slafsky of Wakefield, MA, Neal Slafsky of Boca Raton, FL, Alan Segel of Atlanta, GA; Sara Kramer of Greensboro, NC and Dana Schlafman of Leesburg, VA and Bernard Spriggs, JR. of Leesburg, VA. He also leaves thirteen great-grand children. A private interment will be held at Sharon Memorial Park, in Sharon, MA. Donations in his memory may be sent to Seacoast Hospice, 10 Hampton Rd., Exeter, NH 03833. Brewitt Funeral Home, 14 Pine St., Exeter, NH is handling the arrangements.
