Maureen Leonard Obituary

Of Alexandria, formerly of Montclair, died Thursday October 4, 2007 at Mount Vernon Hospital. Mo is survived by her son Jay, his wife Christen Leonard and grandchild Caleb Samuel Alexander Leonard, her daughters Michelle P. Leonard and Janine R. Leonard, her sister Cecille Flaherty-Arnone and her husband Joseph Arnone, and her brother Paul A. Kennedy. Mo is preceded in death by her parents Paul and Cecilia Kennedy & her niece Suzanne "Suzie" Flaherty. Visitation will be held Sunday, October 7th from 1-3 & 5-7 at Mountcastle Funeral Home, 4143 Dale Blvd., Dale City, VA 22193. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place, Monday, 10/08, at 11:30am at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 310 S. Royal St., Alexandria VA 22314 with interment to follow at Ivy Hill Cemetery, Alexandria, VA. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Saint Jude Children's Research Hospital.

Please accept our heartfelt sympathy. Your Mom was a beautiful person and life-long friend. She had a vibrant personality that everyone who came in contact with her loved. Her children and grandchild were the 'light of her life.'
We will feel the loss of Mo in our lives but take solace in knowing that she is in heaven smiling down on us.

Dear Jay, Michelle and Janine: Your mom was one of the moms we all loved growing up for she was always so happy to see everyone and was so genuinely interested in all of our lives in the most supportive way!
