Dear Diane, Matthew and Andrew:

I'm so sorry for the sudden and shocking loss of Todd. We spent several years as very close friends as undergraduates at University of Pennsylvania. He always wanted to help people, was kind, funny, humble, and truly one of a kind. I'm glad that my wife, Janet, had the chance to meet Todd and Diane, and to see the man who shared so many college stories.

In Sympathy,

Dr. Gary Seeman and Janet Birgenheier

Dear Savarese Family,

I am so sorry to hear this tragic news. I worked with Todd in the Cancer Center at Umass under Peter Quesenberry. Todd helped me so much during my pregnancy with my son. He was the most supportive and understanding person I have ever known or had the pleasure of working with. I will sorely miss his smiling face in the corridors of Umass.
With Sadness and Shock,
Marguerite Joly

Todd will be so deeply missed by the musicians he mentored in the Middlesex Fife and Drum, and by their parents. He was a quiet inspiration, generous in his counsel to kids and in his devotion of time to managing the corps. When we first came to the corps, Todd went out of his way to make us feel welcome. In the Lincoln Center performance, I felt safe in New York because Todd had help everything to go smoothly. What an extraordinary man! How lucky we were to have our lives intersect with his! Our deepest sympathies are with his family...

Diane,

I worked in Pharmacology at Brown and for a number of years and fondly remember Todd as a "graduate student" who used our department refrigerator as his "only refigerator". I did attend your wedding with department colleagues - I remember it was beautiful.

So very sorry to hear about Todd - he was a very special person.

My deepest sympathy.
