Helen attended Marymount College in Tarrytown, NY and was a graduate of New York University. She devoted her life to both her husband, a career army officer who was stationed all over the world, and her family, to whom she taught love of God and humanity, nature, art, politics, music, and much more. Among family members and friends, Helen was esteemed for her generosity, thoughtfulness and kindness. She was an active member of both St. Augustine's Parish in Andover, where she was a member the Catholic Daughters of America and for the past decade of St. Michael's Parish in North Andover, where she was a member of the Legion of Mary and an extraordinary minister who spent many hours visiting the sick and infirm. She was also a member of the North Andover Senior Center where she was involved in many activities, including the center's newspaper. A 10 AM Funeral Mass will be held Saturday, October 13th at St. Michael's Church, 196 Main St., North Andover. Helen and my mom (Mary Piazza) were the best of friends. My mother spoke fondly of Helen, and enjoyed her companionship.

Mom passed to the Lord in 2002, but I was fortunate to inherit her friendship with Helen. We ministered together during the last years of her life.

Helen's faith was unshakeable. She enjoyed a special relationship with her God, and looked forward to the after-life.

I miss her terribly, and remember her often.
