My sympathy to John's family. He was a great guy, and a former beach buddy. Always had that great Irish smile on his face. He will be missed.

Mr. Gallagher,
Sir, I didn't know you but I would just like to say thank you for years of dedicated service and sacrifice-first for our Country when you served in the U.S. Navy during WW II and secondly for the citizens of Boston when you served in with the BFD. And to your family and loved ones, I wish to extend my deepest sympathy.

Our sympathy to John's family. I knew John from when he and I both spent weekends and lived in John Moylan's house in East Falmouth on Shorewood Drive, along with Joe Egan, Kenny McDonald,Archie McGee,Nicky Clinton and John Moylan back in the 70's. Surely, John is with the guys now, reminiscing about the Cape. He was a pleasure to know. My wife and I used to see him at Chapaquoit Beach and shared a lot of good conversations with him. May he rest in peace.

May the wind be always @ your back
May the sun shine warm upon your face
May the rains fall soft upon your fields
Until we meet again ...

I first met John at the Woodbriar Golf Club in Falmouth, MA. What a joy he was to be associated with. We had a mutal friend in Southie, Dudso Foley, who always asked how John was doing.
I wish to give his family members my condolances at this time
