Alice Rose Obituary

85, of the Sisters of Charity of Halifax, died Oct. 9, in Raynham after a long illness. Professed her vows and entering her life with the Sisters of Charity after graduating from Dorchester High School. Worked with the Sisters in Halifax, Long Island NY, St. Kevin's in Dorchester and Riverton, NJ. She taught at St. Peter's School in Lowell and with the Mickmack Indians In Maine. She then taught at the original Butler School for the City of Lowell, St. Joseph's Elementary School, St. Michael's School, and Immaculate Conception School. Volunteered at Lowell General Hospital Birthing Unit, served on the Lowell Housing Authority Council. Sister loved working with the Community of St. Kathryn's in Hudson, NH. Survived by a sister, Mary Crockett of Chelmsford; a sister-in-law, Esther Bellville of Rockland; and nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. She was also the sister of the late George Rose and the late John Rose. You are invited to her visitation Friday morning, 10-11 AM at St. Kathryn's Church, 4 Dracut Road, Hudson, NH. Her Funeral Mass will begin at 11:30 AM in the Church. Burial in St. Patrick's Cemetery. Arrangements by the McDonough Funeral Home, 14 Highland Street, LOWELL (978 or 800) 458-6816.
