Heavely,
Life is so fragile, Loss is so sudden, Heart....so broken,...in the wake of such a loss, we are haunted by things we dont, and may never understand. Yet the solace we seek may not come from answers. So we look for comfort in the belief of love's everlasting connection. May that love lift you and hold you close, and give you peace.

I will hold tight to the memories that have left an imprint on my life.I am praying for your family and friends that God gives us the strength emotionally and physically withstand throughout this time of mourning. Even though you are gone in the flesh I pray that none of us ever loose sight of the good times, the laughter, and the love that we shared with you through out the years.
I will miss you, Shawndel. God willing we will see each other again.

Dearest Heavenly,
Know that you're in our hearts, but more importantly our Prayers.
Shawndel will be truly missed, but was oh so greatly loved.
I'll never forget one of is "bear hugs", and his smile has left an indelible imprint on my heart.
As you and your family go through so many first's without him, I know you'll cherish not only his memory, but the fact that he "loved you all back".
May Allah's Peace, Mery, and Blessings be with you All.

My Name is DeWayne Hollis and me and Shawndell were cool in high school, we were always working together on moves for our dance group and often chilled from time to time in school. My Last memory of him was at my lil bro's graduation in june of this year, and he was telling me off all the future plans he had towards dancing and acting. He will be greatly missed though and his death is a shock to us all. R.I.P..

My name's Natasha Devonish-Jordan. I met Shawndel at Boston Arts Academy. Every time I look through my old pictures, I see him. I moved away from Boston after high school so it's been a while since I last saw him, but I expected to see him again. Shawndel was one of the people I really missed from High School. He was just always so positive, always giving a smile and a hug.
I'm still having a bit of trouble swallowing the fact that he is gone. Even now in my mind he is so full of life. I hope that at least his soul is at peace.
I can't even begin to imagine how hard this time is for you, Shawndel's family, my thoughts and prayers are with you all.

To the Mitchell/Hardy family,
My name is Dayah Islam, and while we know that Ms. Heavenly had only one child, she should know that there are spiritually more. Shawndell was like a brother to me, and I will always remember how he made sure I called him to let him know I was in safe and sound when departing each other. He was like my protective angel. And, now he really is just that. I hope your family finds strength during this time of grievance, and may Shawndell's legacy be carried out and memory be kept strong.
Love,
Dayah

To Shawndel's family,
Our daughter, Akeira was one of Shawndel's student at the Community Art Center. My daughter loved him and is devastated by his passing. She told me she remembers him helping her with tricks to make her math homework easier. She also said he encouraged her to do better in school and said that she could be whatever she wanted to be in life. We will remember him always. How horrible this time must be for you. We are praying for your family and know just from knowing him that he is will God and will never hurt nor be sad again. We find comfort in that and hope you do as well.
To Charles, Ingleed, and Ingrid we are so sorry and we love you all. We are here for you if you need us.
With Love,
Stacey Paulding

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.
Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."
It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man."
God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.
When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.
I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.
There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.
If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.
So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.
And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.
