What a wonderful person to be my introduction into the world of education. I have thought often of those days at Oakdale school and mostly of my wonderful first grade teacher. My thoughts are with all who will miss her.

Dear Gallagher Family,
Mrs. Gallagher was my first grade teacher at Oakdale and a teacher to my late father, Richard, also at Oakdale. We both had memories of an incredibly spunky, wonderful lady! I remember thinking how interesting and happy she was, as she'd always be humming a jazzy tune as she walked down the hallways to the classroom. It was so great to share that bit of her with you!

To the Gallagher Family:

I had Mrs. Gallagher as a first grade teacher at the Oakdale School 43 years ago. I still remember her and how wonderful she was to me and my 4 siblings. For some reason the most vivid memory is of her teaching us to sing the Christmas song "Up on the rooftop". When my daughter, Katelyn, who will be 25 years old tomorrow was in first grade, I made sure that she also had Mrs. Gallagher. She told me that Katelyn would some day be valedictorian of her class. She was right! She was a wonderful person and teacher.

Skip & Ellen and Mr. Gallagher,
It's been many years since we have seen each other but I have such fond memories of yuo Mom. She was such a loving person. You always knew that your house was open for all the teens back in the good old days (60's). I am so sorry for your loss. You are in my prayers and thoughts.
