Our sincere and deepest sympathy to the family of Francis Valois. We will fondly remember his kindness and great sense of humor during the many summers he spent in Woods Hole, and his talent for the spectacular ship models he loved to build. He is at peace now and will be missed my many.

Mr. Valois,
Sir, I didn't know you but I would just like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice for our Country when you served in the U.S. Army during WW II with the 82nd "All-American" Airborne Division. And to your family and loved ones, I wish to extend my deepest sympathy. The 82nd was one of the first units to fight at Normandy during D-Day holding the causeways from Utah Beach inland and giving other American units a chance to form their beachhead. the 82nd also saw heavy combat after doing a combat jump in Holland and holding bridges at Waal and Nijmegen for the British Army and also helped stop the German Offensive in the Ardennes Forest during the Battle of the Bulge at St. Vith and along the northern part of bulge. I'm sorry for going on and on but every time I read about what our men went through in WW II I am always in awe.
