Dad, We laid you to rest today and it was a very hard thing to do. We can't believe you are actually gone, it seems so not real. I want to really try to keep in touch with Deb and all the family, they are such a remarkable bunch of kids and I want Caylor to know them and them to know her. I wish that it didnt take losing you for me to try to get this to happen but they say sometimes good things can come from bad things and by bad things I mean losing you. I think Joanne would like to see Jimmy and Debbie be closer also. I promise you I will try to make that happen and both Jim and I will make sure Mom has as much support as she needs. We love you and miss you terrible. Rest In Peace, Dad and look down on us. Love, Your daughter-in-law (wow I finally get to have you as my father-in-law and had to say good bye way to soon, actually 4 months to the day me and Jimmy got married.) Debbie

Mr. Cook,
Sir, I didn't know you but I would just like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice for our Country when you served in the U.S. Navy during WW II and for being a member of the Greatest Generation. And to your family and loved ones, I wish to extend my deepest sympathy.
