Eileen,

Please accept condolences from me and Mary on the loss of your mother. Losing a mother is always difficult, but as an old friend once told me, losing a mother after having had her for so long is much more difficult than most people can imagine simply because those many years were largely responsible for making the relationship very strong.

Mrs. Sullivan, Chances are, you already have pounds of potato salad made for a typical Sullivan/Aldrich party in heaven. By now, you probably have starched every linen napkin behind those pearly gates. You've lived a great life and were a terrific role model to many, including the McGuirk family. We'll miss your wit and warmth. Love always, Erin McGuirk p.s. When you see Bob at the nineteenth hole, tell him "hello from Hampton Beach." We miss him and we already miss you.
