Phyllis Catherine Folia

Surrounded by her family, passed away peacefully on Saturday (October 13, 2007) after a brief illness. A longtime resident of Avon, CT, Phyllis was the daughter of the late Emma and George McNeil. She is survived by her beloved husband of 54 years, Dr. Carl R. Folia and her granddaughter Danielle, both of Avon. Her children include Mary Beth Folia of Albuquerque, NM; Judy and Carl Jr., of Essex, Scott of Norwich and Patricia Carnright, her husband Michael and their son Luke of Canton. Phyllis is also survived by her sister, Joan M. Blagdon of North Attleboro, MA and West Hampton Beach, NY, her brother-in-law John Foglia of Athol, MA, her sister-in-law Claire F. Woods of Kane, PA and many loving nieces and nephews. Besides her parents she is predeceased by her sister Janet M. Sullivan and her brothers Joseph and George McNeil. After graduating from LaSalle Junior College, Phyllis met her husband Carl. They married in 1953 and lived for many happy years in Avon, where Phyllis was a homemaker and Carl, now retired, practiced general dentistry in Farmington. Relatives and friends are invited to a visitation, which will be held from 9:30-a.m.-10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, October 16, 2007 at the Carmon Community Funeral Home & Family Center, 301 Country Club Rd., AVON, CT, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am in the Church of St. Ann, 270 West Avon Rd., Avon, CT. Interment will follow in St. Ann Cemetery. A reception will follow at Avon Old Farms Hotel, 279 Avon Mountain Rd., Avon, CT.
