To the family of Dr. Quinn, Phyllis and Honey,
Please forgive the lateness of this entry. I knew Dr. Quinn when I worked at Malden Hospital, first as a nurse in the ICU. I then transferred to cardiac rehabilitation where he was the medical director until the program was closed and merged with Lawrence Memorial Hospital. He was an incredibly knowledgeable doctor and a pioneer in coronary care and cardiac rehabilitation. He adored his patients and would often regale the interns and residents with tales of the joys of private practice. He was one in a million in terms of caring for his patients and treating nurses as colleagues. He is irreplaceable.

To the family of James Quinn, Phyllis, and Honey.
I was priveledged to have worked with Dr. Quinn at Malden Hospital, the last years as case manager for his patients. I learned from him every day and will be forever grateful for the experience of working with such a fine doctor and to have called him a friend. He loved his family dearly, always ready to tell a story or share a picture of them.
My thoughts and prayers are with you all and with all who had the priveledge of working with and being cared for by him. He will be missed.

Dear Dr. Quinn,

My mother and I are deeply saddened by your passing. I would like your family to know what a wonderful doctor you were. You helped my father immensely – without your knowledge, dedication and compassion, we wouldn’t have had him as long as we did. You were a “One-In-A-Million” doctor. You could be counted on 7/24, holidays didn’t matter. If we needed you, you were always there, and, on behalf of my family, I thank you. Please know you will always be in our thoughts and prayers and you will be missed.

I know my father and all your patients were there to greet you when you arrived in Heaven.

God Bless you and may you Rest In Peace.

Sincerely,

Leonora and Evelyne Caiazzo

'Uncle Jimmy', as I referred to him, was a physician with remarkable qualities. His clinical expertise was unquestioned and his kindness to patients and staff alike was evident throughout his career. I had the great privilege of working with him, primarily at Malden Hospital, and can say unequivocally that he will leave a large void in the medical community as well as in the hearts of the many who knew him. My sincere sympathies go out to all of his family as well as to those who cared for and loved him.

Big Jim,
You were a good man, grandfather, and doctor. My mother just told me how excited and proud you were when I, as your first grandchild, was born and how you called all the nurses and staff down to the nursery to see me. I am happy that I was a part of your life.
