Dear Steve and Meg,
We are sorry for your loss and although we never got to meet your mother we do know you. People like you don't spontaneously pop out of the ground. Your concern for others, selflessness, generosity, and interest in the betterment of all people are the enduring expression of the love and kindness your mother most certainly embodied, as well as the lasting legacy of that love. No, we didn’t know her directly but we do know you, so in a way she has touched us and all the other the people you have touched as well. Please accept our deepest condolences.
