Dear brother Jim,
We were so saddened to hear of Millie's premature passing. Our
prayers are with you Jim, Jan and Jimmy.
It's hard to understand God's mysterious ways of dealing with death but His abundant love for us can get us through another hurdle in life.
Our faith in Christ gives us the promise of eternal life and the joy and assurance of meeting our predeceased loved ones.
When its our time, were looking forward to seeing Millie, Mom, Dad and other friends and acquaintances.
Jim, of course you should mourn for Millie's passing, but your future life should reflect the positive influence you both have had on your many friends, especially the submariners. I want to encourage you to walk especially tall and proud for Millie and the WWII veterans in the next Bristol parade. Who knows, Sandi and I may be there to cheer you on.
May God bless you, Jimmy and Janet during the coming weeks and years and may He give you the peace that passes all understanding.

I would like to extend my deepest sympathies to the Butterworth family. I was good friends with Jim (young Jim) many years ago. I remember Mrs. Butterworth used to give us rides to and from our play rehearsals and Mr. Butterworth gave us a ride to (or home) at Howard Johnson's. I remember doing my Julia Child imitation for Mrs. Butterworth. She was a very nice lady. Once gain, sorry for your loss. Take care Jim and family. Pam Bowen and Larry Sheridan (North Chelmsford, ma)

Everybody sees the resemblance! But there's only one Millie.

Long-distance whoopie pies and banana splits for breakfast and camping and mini pizzas after school and little Christmas gifts and Renoir Masterpiece model and Red Sox ice cream and kitties and saving the day with homework help and surprise 14th birthday party and Duck tour co-coordinator and mom away from home … Millie RULES! She is awesome and it’s true she has always been and will always be a legend in our hearts. She’s a chapter in our lives gone, but never ever forgotten. We love you, Millie. Give Fluff a hug from us.
We will always be neighbors,
