C. Mildred Piltch

Of Needham, formerly of Brookline and Cambridge on Friday, October 19, 2007. Mildred was the devoted wife of the late Roy Piltch. She leaves behind a host of friends and family who loved her, including her children Howard, Cynthia, Kineret, Steve, Neal, Richard, Stuart, Debbie and Stan, plus twenty-five grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and her sister-in-law, Sylvia R. Piltch. In addition to her extraordinary efforts as a mother, she worked at Harvard Community Health Plan for many years, was a Brookline Town Meeting Member, a president of the Devotion PTA, and a long-time member and past Dept. President of the Jewish War Veterans Auxiliary. She is best remembered for her devotion to her family as well as for her strength, patience, good humor, and the best home-baked chocolate chip cookies and mundel bread ever made. Services were held at the Levine Chapels, 470 Harvard St., Brookline on Sunday, October 21. Memorial observance Monday though Wednesday from 1-4pm & 6-8pm at the home of Debbie Piltch & Dan Loeb.
