Frank Civilikas Obituary

Formerly of Wellesley and Needham, passed peacefully at age 90 on October 19, 2007 in Saratoga, CA. Beloved husband of Alice Hampshire Civilikas, who predeceased him in 2003. Devoted father of Gary Civilikas and his wife Amy Hood of Reston, VA, John Civilikas of Shelby Township, MI, and Robert Civilikas and his wife Laura of Saratoga, CA. Grandfather of Kelcey, Christopher and Alicen Civilikas of Saratoga, CA. He will be missed by his cousins Ernest F. Deluski and his wife Lois and their family of Ashland. Funeral from the George F. Doherty & Sons Funeral Home, 477 Washington St., (Rte 16) WELLESLEY, Friday at 9:00 AM. Funeral Mass in St. Joseph's Church, Needham, at 10:00 AM. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Visiting hours Thursday 4-8 PM. Interment Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne. Born February 2, 1917 in Norwood, he was a World War II Veteran, U.S. Army (1942-45). Awarded the Bronze Star for Action in the Pacific. Attended Brown University, graduate of Wentworth Institute and Bradford Durfree Technical Institute (UMass, Dartmouth), BS Mech. Eng. Sir, I didn't know you but I would just like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice for our Country when you served with the U.S. Army in the Pacific during WW II and for being a member of the Greatest Generation. And to your family and loved ones, I wish to extend my deepest sympathy.
