I have fond memories of a distant summer past where as a kids Judson and I caught tadpoles near his family home in NJ. I am sorry to hear about his passing.

I am so sorry and sad to hear of the loss of Jud. What a darling, wonderful guy - I knew Jud in highschool at EGR and so many fond memories from senior year are because of him. My heart goes out to Jud's family and friends - he obviously touched all those he knew.

My thoughts and prayers go out to MK, the entire Ahrens family and all of Jud's friends. weeks have past and but the sadness has not worn off. However, i keep the thinking about the past memories with Jud and I have to smile. He wanted nothing more that to make people laugh and be happy. i will never forget his voice, his smile, his laugh and I look forward to keeping that with me forever! all my love and prayers! love, Rebecca

Thank you, thank you, thank you, for everyone who sent love, support, flowers,caterers, The Faris Family who told him the Friday before he passsed to root hard for the SOX that Saturday night because he was invited on the boys trip to the series, thank you to the people who flew in from Montana, NYC, NC, Houston, Chi-town, drove in from Nashville, to comfort me during my tragic loss. I want everyone to know that his last night on earth was amazing. He was not only able to know that the SOX were going to the series, but also he was dancing a jig with me and stole the bride from the groom for 3 dances. What Judson and I shared was unconditional and should be Awe-inspiring to everyone who has a significant other. For the ones who made it to his service in support of the Ahrens, Butler's, Barnard's, as well as my family, and all the cousins~ Thank You. My Jud Jud is giving me the Strength and Courage to get out of bed in the mornings, and see the world through a whole new set of eyes. To all who knew Buddy, Feel Blessed, his chesire smile will remain in my heart for eternity, what we planned on spending with one another. Y'alls love and support has given me HOPE. Miss Jeanie and Mr. Jay you will always be my second parents, thank you for my ring. Please think of him on July 25th 2008, because that was the day he was going to say "I do"...and he wanted to have the first dance be, True Companion~ Just as we were and will always be, true companions. I miss you Buddy. Thank you for showing me genuine, pure, love...I just wish I could have given you Ryerson Walker Ahrens. You were supposed to be a daddy for my kids. My condolensces to the Ahrens family in the most difficult time. Having known Jud through our college years playing lacrosse and living together, I can honestly say what a caring and loyal person he was. Rest in peace Jud, you will be missed.

I first met Jud back in Boston in 2001 through one of my best friends, and I was instantly taken back by Jud's fun-loving attitude, positivity and sincere loyalty as a friend. He would do anything for the people he loved, and I will always admire that. Even better, I learned a very important lesson from spending time with Jud - live life and enjoy it. Thank you, Jud. I am better for having known you - we all are. Rest in peace, my friend.

I wish to extend my condolences to Jud's family, fiance, and friends. I met Jud in Boston in 2000 when I was new in the city. We maintained the same circle of friends for quite a while and he is partly responsible for bringing my boyfriend Porter and I together. Myself and the rest of the Boston crew are deeply sadened by his unexpected passing and would like to extend our prayers and deepest sympathy to all who were fortunate enough to know Jud.

It is impossible to properly articulate the sadness of this sudden tragedy. Jud was my college boyfriend for 2 years at Gettysburg and our little family (John, Whitmore, Rachel, Becky, Chase) had such an amazing time growing up together those years which now seems so long ago. My heart pours out to his family during this time.

I want to express my appreciation for the way that Judson lived his life! I was honored to have met such a warm persona in Jud. As much of a shock as this tragedy is to everyone, I want to express my thoughts and prayers to Judsons families and friends. I will never forget Judson!

I am still in shock at this devastating tragedy. I worked with Jud in Boston and over the last 2 years became very good friends. Jud referred to me as his “wingwoman” helping him shop and go out together. The guys in the office still laugh at how he spent nearly $400 on a Prada shirt because of me! I laugh when I think about how he had gone tanning before we went shopping – he was going to Vegas and was absolutely purple! He always made me laugh. It’s still so surreal to walk into work everyday and know that he’s gone. Although he hadn’t been up here working in our office for a while there has not been a day that goes by without a funny Jud story. He was an incredible friend, loved his family and loved MK. I will always remember Jud with the fondest of memories and smile when I think about the fun times we shared. My condolences go to the Ahrens family to Mary Katherine and the Tegano family and to Jud. Rest in peace Judson – you will surely be missed.

Our prayers and love go out to Mary Katherine and the Tegano family as well as Judson's parents and family. In the short time we knew Judson, he became part of the Tegano family we've known for so long. He was a wonderful person and we were so lucky to have known him. He will be missed and we will keep him dear to our hearts forever.

I met Jud several years ago through his good friends, Ryan and Angie. And though I didn't know him well it was clear he was full of energy and life, the kind of guy people gravitate towards. Nothing can be said to set aside the sadness that Judson's family and friends are experiencing. I can only think of MK and Judson laughing during a rain delay at Yankee stadium like kids in love forever. My prayers are with you all.

Jud stayed with John, Carrie and me in the summer of 1997 after graduation and before finding their first apartment in New York. It was a difficult summer in our family but Jud's kindness to Carrie and friendship to John meant so much to me as a mother.I cried this Sunday evening for this good young man and I will keep him in my prayers always with gratitude.
