Dear Jodi:
I do not know you or your husband but I was touched by his story. I asked God why would you take such a beautiful person so early in life. We lost our 3 year old nephew so we know the pain and always ask why. But I realize now that God does take the best. It seems Dennis had more happiness in 38 years than if he lived to be 100. The same with my precious nephew he touched so many lives in three short years than if he lived to be 100. Looking at Dennis' blog and the pictures of you and your beautiful girls I know Dennis was a very very and lucky man to have such a loving and beautiful family. Dennis was taken away way too soon but it seems he lived a lifetime of happiness and a lot of people cannot say that. MAY GOD BLESS YOU AND YOUR BEAUTIFUL GIRLS. I know Dennis is looking down on you and his girls guiding and protecting your forever.
You have inspired so many. I'm so proud to have known and loved you.

To Dennis's loved ones...as you already know he is a generous, genuine soul who always made everyone feel good. Dennis was one of my closest friends during our high school years together, in fact, I had the honor of having him as my senior prom date. I am heartbroken and can't even imagine your pain. I am so very sorry for you to endure such a huge loss in your lives. I hope you find strength in the love you created and in the girls smiles - their happiness will always be filled with Dennis's spirit.

Dear Jodi and Rich family:
Although I didn’t know Dennis personally, I felt like I did from all the wonderful things I have heard about him. Jay would tell me everyday, what a great man he was and how hard he fought to live another day to be with his wife, whom he loved so much and his 3 beautiful little girls. I can tell he was a good man and loved and well respected by many people (near and far) just by looking at all the messages in this guest book.
My deepest condolences go out to the entire Rich and Sasso families. Please know that you all will be in my thoughts and prayers at this very difficult time. May his memory and spirit live on through his three girls and help you all to heal.
Sincerely,
Doug and Nadeen Belliveau

To the entire Rich family,
Words can not express the sadness I feel about the passing of Dennis, let alone the shock. Although I graduated with Dennis, played Little League, Babe Ruth and went to the Boys Club together, I lost touch with him and had no idea he was battling for his life recently, I am deeply saddened.
For my age group Dennis was the unofficial leader in our neighborhood, he was the best athlete, most popular,an all around good kid and a stand up guy.
I remember playing football on Sunday mornings with Dennis at the Garfield School and I remember never being able to tackle him, he was so fast and strong even if you could catch up with him, he would never let you get him down. He ruled those pick up games! I remember one time I was actually on his team and I wanted so much to impress him, because he was really someone I looked up to growing up. I remember him throwing me two touchdown passes that game, I felt wow, I may have impressed him.
I am just sorry I did not get to know Dennis better, we always talked Boys Club when we would run into each other, we had some laughs!
I also remember the un-precedented bond Dennis and Jimmy had growing up, they did everything together, they were not only brothers but obvious best friends and I am sure that bond continued to grow as they got older, I am deeply sorry Jimmy, I can not imagine how you feel right now, you have a great family and I know you will all get each other thru these extremely difficult times.
God Bless you all, especially Dennis'three beautiful daughters, just looking at the pictures I see he just adored them!

Dear Jodi and girls,
I am so sorry about Dennis. Every time you came in you had so much hope in your eyes. When your husband is your best friend, its harder than anything ever imaginable to lose him. My only advise to you is count on each and every one of those friends and family that are there for you. They are the people who get you through it all. Your daughters will be a constant reminder of your life together. If at any time you need to talk..or to cry...whatever it is..you know where I am..oh yea...and if you need a haircut too!! Take care of yourself and those beautiful girls and cherish your memories!! I am one person who understands what you feel.

You always remember a handful of people from your childhood. Dennis was one of those people for me. Whether it was playing football in the church yard with the rest of the Rich clan, winning Pop Warner championships together or just hanging out in Beachmont, he was always a star. People were drawn to him. I haven't seen him in about 15 years, but I've never forgotten him. May the entire family remain strong at this time.
