Thalia Scanzio Obituary

Of North Quincy, formerly of Canton. Died on October 23, 2007 from prolonged terminal conditions from lung and brain cancer which started in 1999. Thalia had a wonderful disposition and was so courageous. Beloved wife of 52 years to Ernest N. Scanzio. Loving mother of Mark E. Scanzio & his wife Heather of Canton, Stephen Scanzio of Canton and Craig J. Scanzio of Cambridge. Devoted grandmother of Sean Scanzio. Daughter of the late Harry & Anna Paleologos. Sister of the late Helen Starr and Dorothee Lorito. Sister in law of Eleanor M. (Scanzio) Piers of Huntington. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral from the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., WOLLASTON, Saturday at 8 AM. Funeral Mass in Sacred Heart Church, N. Quincy at 9 AM. Visiting hours Friday 4-8 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Mrs. Scanzio may be made to the American Cancer Society, Central NE Region, 18 Tremont St., # 700, Boston, MA 02108 or to Old Colony Hospice, 1 Credit Union Way, Randolph, MA 02368.
