Rose Sarno Obituary

October 17, 2007. Co-creator of Assabet Village and Deer Path Farms, formerly of Westford and Winchester, most recently a resident of Notre Dame Long Term Care in Worcester, passed away with her family by her side. Mrs. Sarno was 86 years young. She was the daughter of the late Domenic and Clementina Scali and beloved wife of the late Emelio J. Sarno who passed away in 1986. Mrs. Sarno was born in Boston and raised in Somerville, MA; was an honors graduate from Somerville High School and attended classes at Harvard in Cambridge. She was the devoted mother of Gerald Douglas Sarno and his wife Judith of Hudson. The loving sister of Vincent J. Scali and his wife Mary of Winchester. "Grammi" was the loving grandmother of Gerald Douglas Sarno, II and his wife Catherine of Charlotte, NC, Robert Francis Sarno and his wife, Rachel of Boulder, CO and Brett Michael Sarno and his wife Benita of Southborough, MA. Mrs. Sarno is further survived by six great-grand children: Sarah, Matthew, Elizabeth, Alijah, Angel and Domenic. The Funeral Mass was Saturday at St. Mary's Church, 158 Washington St. Winchester, MA.
