Robert Barber Obituary

Of Danvers, October 25, 2007, formerly of Peabody, Concord and Somerville. Beloved husband of 42 years to Ruth (Leach) Barber, brother of the late George, Paul, Eleanor and Richard Barber, also survived by several nieces and nephews including Alice Barber of Melrose, 3 godchildren, 4 great godchildren and a special needs foster child in Haiti. His Pastorates were in Springfield, MA, Scranton, PA, New Haven, CT, Lawrence, Concord and Peabody, MA. A visitation will be held on Sunday from 2:00 until 4:00 PM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home at the 82 Lynn St., PEABODY facility. A Graveside Service will be held on Monday at 11:00 AM in Sleepy Hollow Cemetery, Concord, MA and a Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, November 4, 2007 at 2:00 PM at the Maple St. Congregational Church, Maple St., Danvers. Rev. Barber was truly a gift from God...He baptized my son Donnie in sluice pond knowing that he wasn't too fond of the water, but he did it any way He truly walked the walk..I will miss him dearly
