Mr. Gallagher,
Sir, I didn't know you but I would just like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice for our Country when you served in in Japan with the U.S. Army after WW II. And to your family and loved ones, I wish to extend my deepest sympathy.

I met Joe through our mutual friend Tom Driscoll at the First National Bank back in the late 70's. He was one of the warmest, friendliest and humorous men I have ever known. When our paths crossed at the Clover Club or other functions we would chat like we had spoken the day before, yet it may have been months or a year or two since we last spoke. He was always upbeat and a pleasure to catch up with. I suspect that Joe had many friends like me. May he now take his rightful place in heaven with the other Clovers and kind hearted Irishman. God Bless you Joe
