To Stephen's loved ones -
How shocked and saddened I was to hear of Stephen's death. Many, many years ago in Concord, my brother, Dickie, Stephen, the Croft boys, the Stetson boys and I (yes, a tomboy back then) would play baseball together for hours and hours at the Elks Field - what fun! And I have many fond memories of babysitting for Stephen and his little sister, Janet. He was a sweet young man and I am so sorry for your loss.
My brother, Dickie, also passed away, much too early, back in 2003. It certainly is very difficult to lose someone so young. My hope and prayer for you is that, in time, with the love and support of those around you, the precious memories you shared with Stephen will one day bring you peace.
God bless...

Steve was one the nicest and fun loving friends you could ever hope for. We have over 30 years worth of absolutely fantastic memories that will never be forgotten. Betty, how about the times at Hampton Beach, the Rochester Fair, Saturday Night Live (fondue forks), many hours of playing cards, days/nights by your pool, Steve's cooking (he's the best griller ever), camping, Steve imitating the 3 stooges, listening to his long and funny stories, and on and on.
He leaves a big hole in many hearts and he will always be remembered.

My sincere condolences to all Steve's survivors, especially Betty. Any premature death is tragic; Steve was a kind soul, a friend, a diligent co-worker and a gentle man. I will miss him. May he rest in peace.

Betty,
I am so sorry to learn that Steve died. I went to high school in Concord with Steve and more recently when living in Peperell, was surprised to see him come up to me in Razabonis. Yes you have to be from Peperell to know where Razabonis was.... and then your brother shared a house with me.
Amazing how people come in and out of your lives.
I have often thought Steve didn't look much older that day, than he did in high school. The picture in the paper with his obituary caught me again with that gleam in his eye and cheery smile. And he will forever be a highschool boy in my mind.
Steves death obviously comes too soon and leaves a life not completed. I am sorry for that loss for you and for Steve.
I have no pearls of wisdom to leave with you, just my heart felt
sympathy for you.
