Florence Gerard Obituary

Of Braintree, after a period of failing health at the age of 82, October 28th, 2007. Wife of the late Arthur W. Gerard. Loving mother of Dianne Gerard-Tomory of HI, Stephen C. Gerard of Quincy and Kathleen Pearce of Braintree. Devoted sister of Ruth Martell of Bridgewater, Thomas Linehan of CA and the late Mary Hinckley. Also survived by 8 grandchildren and 3 great grandsons. Reposing at the Cartwright-Venuti Funeral Home, 845 Washington Street, BRAINTREE, until 8:00 AM on Friday, followed by a Funeral Mass at 9:00 AM in St. Francis of Assisi Church, Braintree. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Thursday 2:00-4:00 & 7:00-9:00 PM. Burial in VA National Cemetery, Bourne. Should friends desire memorial contributions may be made in her name to the National Arthritis Foundation, Chatham Ctr., Suite 450, Newton, MA 02160. Florence Gerard was born in Boston and lived in Braintree for over 57 years. She was a retired employee of NYNEX and a member of the Telephone Pioneers. Florence started as a Telephone Operator and retired as a Data Entry Clerk in the Business Office after 32 years of service. She loved to travel.
