Mr. Desmond,
Sir, I didn't know you but I would just like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice for our Country when you served in the U.S. Navy during WW II and for being a member of the Greatest Generation. And to your family and loved ones, I wish to extend my deepest sympathy.

To the Desmond Family
My thoughts and prayer are with you all at this difficult time. Gerry was a sweet man, he was a good friend of my parents Rita and Dick Driscoll and after my mom passed away Gerry would call and check up on me. I will miss our phone calls. May he rest and peace as he is now reunited with his beloved wife, your mom was very special to him and he always spoke fondly of her. Take care and cherish all the happy memories you shared together.

Sean,Marty, and Gerald,
It is a very sad day for me and my brother,Jerry--as you may or may not know, your Dad played a very important role in our lives growing up. He took Jerry into his home to help family. He was a friend and advisor to me, a role model, all thru life. We loved him.
Kind regards, Lew and Jerry, Helen Desmond's sons

Dear Gerald, Sean, and Martin,
I was so sorry to read of your father's passing. I'm sure he'll be sorely missed. It really got me thinking about the old neighborhood, your mother and Kiki. We were blessed to grow up there. Hope you are all well and I hope to see you at the mass on Friday.
Fondly,
Candice Dow

Gerry, Sean and Marty...I'm sorry to read about your dad. I can't believe the coincidence of touching base and being brought up to date recently with Gerry...only to read this today. Sure brings back fond memories of the old neighborhood. I often think of KiKi...he was such a good kid. I'm so sorry. Jeanne Hasson-Boyle
