79 of South Boston and Dorchester, October 28, 2007. Beloved husband of Jane C. (Cunniff) Hardy. Devoted father of Michael Hardy, John Hardy, Edward Hardy, Molly Dunn, Jane McCarthy, Paul Hardy and his wife Cathy and the late Leonard Hardy and Janet Hardy. Brother of Lillian O'Neil of Billerica and the late Marie Hardy, Eleanor Foley, Rev. John Hardy (CM), Dorothea Eager and Edward Hardy. Also survived by 10 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren & many loving nieces and nephews. Funeral Mass in Gate of Heaven Church, Wednesday at 10 AM. Relatives and friends invited. Interment St Joseph Cemetery, West Roxbury. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Leonard's memory to either The Marian Manor, 130 Dorchester Street South Boston, MA 02127 or St. Brigid Church, 845 East Broadway, South Boston, MA 02127. Graduate of Boston College Class of 1952. US Army Veteran of WWII. Past District Commander of the Thomas J. Fitzgerald Post, South Boston.

Mr. Hardy,
Sir, I didn't know you but I would just like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice for our Country when you served in the U.S. Army during WW II and for being a member of the Greatest Generation. And to your family and loved ones, I wish to extend my deepest sympathy.
