My deepest sympathies to the family & friends of Karen Bolden. She was by far the most easy going, helpful person I've had the pleasure of working with here at MGH. Always ready to lend a helping hand, never turned you away. Such a positive person, you will be missed. I'm grateful to have known you.
Rest in peace!

A Place to Rest
God looked down on your body
  so tired form hanging on,
from a life that was overwhelming you,
And wanted back his son.
So he took away hte air you breathe,
And gave you what was best,
A place to be at peace,
A final place to Rest.

I grew up with Karen on School Street in Northboro. She lived right across the street from me. Although I don't recall the exact circumstances, I remember clearly that one day at the bus stop some kids were making fun of me and she was the only one who stood up for me -- a very brave thing to do as a young teenager! She was very kind to me. So it does not surprise me at all that Karen became a nurse and obviously had so many friends, coworkers, and family who loved her, admired her, and cared for her deeply. My sympathies to her family and all who will miss her, especially Marilyn, Mary, Richard, and Christopher.

Karen will be missed so much by those whose lives she touched. I am one of those lucky few who had the opportunity to sit and talk with her. May her loving family find peace and comfort, knowing that she is in a better plce. We enjoyed swapping stories about our kids, and shared poems from Mia Angelo.

Karen touched the hearts of so many, she is missed so very much. The memory of her warmth, kindness, thoughtfulness and grace contrasted by her fierce will and strength, although a void in my heart, will forever bring a smile to my face. May her lovely family find strength and peace in the memories she wove throughout their lives.
