Of South Boston, formerly of Squantum, Oct. 27. Beloved wife of 60 years of William F. Degan (Col. U.S. Marine Corps., Ret.). Cherished mother of Elaine D. Niles & her husband, Peter of Clinton, CT, Sally D. Glora & her husband, Edward of South Boston and the late U.S. Marshal William F. Degan. Devoted mother-in-law of Karen M. Degan of FL. Loving grandmother of Peter, Sarah & Andrew Niles and William & his wife, Tara and Brian Degan. Loving aunt of her special nephew, Scott M. Coyne & his daughter, Lara of Plymouth. Dear sister of the late Ellen Keegan, Agnes Casey, Rita Hewitt, Joseph, William & Frederick Coyne. Survived by many nieces, nephews & friends. Funeral Mass at St. Brigid Church, South Boston, Sat. at 10AM. Visiting hours at the Alfred D. Thomas Funeral Home, 326 Granite Ave., MILTON, Fri. 4 to 8PM. Late member of The Sweet Adelines, the Boston Harbor Yacht Club & the CIA. Former member of South Boston Mother's Club & Squantum Garden Club. Bill and Sally and the rest of the Degan family, I am very sorry to hear of your loss. I just found out yesterday of Mrs.Degan's passing. She was always very kind to me when I lived upstairs on Farragut Road. My great Aunt, Jean Lincoln, is also very sad. My uncle John loved you all.
